Two men struggle with Guillain-Barre' Syndrome
The neurological disorder is rare, affecting only one to two people per 100,000. So they were surprised to learn they were among six patients recovering from the rare disease at Methodist Rehabilitation Center at the same time.

Susan B. Greco, RN, MSN, CRRN
Susan Greco is vice president for patient care services and program director at Methodist Rehabilitation Center. She supervises and directs nursing and therapy practices for the hospital’s four major inpatient programs—brain injury, spinal injury, stroke and orthopedics. Greco earned her BSN at the Louisiana State University School of Nursing and her MSN at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. Before coming to Methodist she was director of nursing at Touro Rehabilitation Center in New Orleans. She has also held patient care positions at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of North Alabama. She is a member of numerous organizations, including the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, the Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board, the American Association of SCI Nurses and the American Heart Association’s Stroke Council. Greco is a frequent speaker at national rehabilitation and nursing conferences.
