The Wilson Research Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, improves the lives of persons with disabling injuries and illness through research, education and technology at Methodist Rehabilitation Center. Established in 1989 with a generous gift from the H.F. McCarty Jr. family, the foundation name honors the late Earl R. Wilson, and his wife Martha Lyles Wilson.
Earl Wilson was the founding chairman of Methodist Rehabilitation Center. He is memorialized in our hospital with a life-sized bronze statue (see photo) and through the work of our clinical and research programs. The Wilson Research Foundation delivers on Mr. Wilson's vision, restoring ability and hope for our patients, helping make Methodist Rehab Center a premiere center of excellence in research based care.
