Methodist Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive medical rehabilitation programs for people with spinal cord and brain injuries, stroke and other neurological and orthopedic disorders and treats patients from all of Mississippi's 82 counties and other states. The 124-bed state-of-the-art hospital in Jackson is the only freestanding physical rehabilitation center in Mississippi and is only one of two hospitals in the state accepted into the prestigious Council of Teaching Hospitals. It is also the only Mississippi hospital to be named one of America’s best by U.S. News and World Report.

Amputation
The orthotics and prosthetics division at Methodist uses a state-of-the-art lab and the most advanced computer-assisted technology to design, build and fit artificial limbs in a fraction of the time required by others.
Joint & Back Pain
A multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists use a broad array surgical, non-surgical and interventional pain management treatment options to alleviate joint and back pain.
Brain Injuries
As Mississippi’s leading provider of brain injury rehabilitation, Methodist is one of only 16 hospital’s in the nation designated a Traumatic Brain Injury Model System by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.
Long-Term Care
Three years ago when Methodist Specialty Care Center opened, people used a lot of flattering phrases to describe the Mid South’s first residential facility designed especially for the younger severely disabled person. But “a place to call home” is the description we like best.
Orthopedics
Methodist offers comprehensive orthopedic services for people with a wide range musculoskeletal injuries. Our therapists specialize in manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization and myofascial release techniques to correct posture disorders, address soft tissue restrictions and treat chronic pain.
Neurological Disease
A team of physicians, researchers and neuropsychologists work together to treat a wide range of neurological diseases and disorders which can cause problems with movement, speech, swallowing, breathing, learning, memory or mood.
Spinal Cord Injuries
A skilled team of physicians, researchers, nurses and therapists familiar with every aspect of spinal cord injury work together at Methodist to help patients achieve their highest level of independence.
Stroke
As Mississippi’s only stroke-specific rehabilitation program, Methodist has provided more than 10,000 patients access to the most advanced stroke research, treatment and care available.
